Description

These Southwest Cream Cheese Chicken Wraps are an easy and delicious way to enjoy a flavorful meal. With creamy, seasoned chicken, black beans, corn, and cheese all wrapped in a soft tortilla, these wraps are perfect for lunch, dinner, or even a quick snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works well)

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed

  • 1 cup corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned)

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 4 large flour tortillas (or whole wheat)

  • Optional: Salsa, guacamole, or extra sour cream for dipping

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken Filling: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.

  • Add the Veggies and Cheese: Stir in the black beans, corn, shredded cheese, and chopped cilantro. Mix gently to combine.

  • Assemble the Wraps: Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Divide the chicken mixture evenly between the tortillas, placing the filling in the center of each one.

  • Wrap: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly from the bottom. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

  • Serve: Serve the wraps immediately or slice them in half for easier eating. Optionally, serve with salsa, guacamole, or extra sour cream for dipping.

Notes

  • You can make these wraps ahead of time and refrigerate them for up to 2 hours for a quick grab-and-go meal.

  • For a spicier version, add some chopped jalapeños or a few dashes of hot sauce to the chicken filling.

  • Feel free to swap the cream cheese for Greek yogurt for a lighter version of the filling.
