Description

Watermelon Margarita is a refreshing summer cocktail made with fresh watermelon juice, lime, tequila, and a touch of sweetness. It’s vibrant, fruity, and perfect for warm-weather sipping.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 2 tablespoons triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup or simple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Salt or sugar for rimming glass (optional)
  • Lime wedges and watermelon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, purée the watermelon until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp if desired.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 1/2 cups of watermelon juice, lime juice, tequila, triple sec, and agave syrup. Add ice and shake well.
  3. Rim glasses with salt or sugar, if using, by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping in a shallow plate of salt or sugar.
  4. Fill glasses with ice and pour the margarita mixture over the top.
  5. Garnish with lime wedges and watermelon slices. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with ice until slushy.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less syrup depending on your taste and the ripeness of the watermelon.
  • Use silver tequila for a clean, crisp flavor or reposado for added depth.
