Description

Delightfully sweet and creamy Valentine’s Oreo Truffles made with crushed golden Oreo cookies, tangy cream cheese, and coated in smooth vanilla candy coating. These no-bake treats are decorated with colorful Valentine-themed sprinkles, perfect for parties or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Oreo Truffles

  • 36-42 golden Oreo cookies
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 20 drops pink food coloring, divided (adjust to color preference)

Coating and Decoration

  • 16 ounces vanilla candy coating
  • Favorite Valentine sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreos: Place 36 golden Oreo cookies in a food processor or seal them in a bag and crush into fine crumbs using a rolling pin.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: Transfer the Oreo crumbs to a mixer or keep in the food processor bowl, add softened cream cheese and 10 drops of pink food coloring. Mix thoroughly until smooth and consistent.
  3. Form Truffle Balls: Adjust consistency if needed by adding more cookie crumbs so the mixture holds when rolled. Scoop uniform amounts using a small ice cream scoop or melon baller, then roll between your palms into firm 1¼ inch balls.
  4. Freeze Balls: Place the formed truffle balls onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Freeze while preparing the candy coating to firm up the truffles.
  5. Melt Candy Coating: Break vanilla candy coating into pieces, place in a microwave-safe bowl, and microwave in 20-second bursts stirring in between until fully melted and smooth, about 1-2 minutes total.
  6. Dip Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each truffle into the melted coating, letting excess drip off by tapping on the bowl’s edge.
  7. Decorate: Place coated truffles back onto parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with Valentine-themed candy sprinkles while the coating is still soft.
  8. Repeat: Continue dipping and decorating remaining truffles until all are coated.
  9. Set Coating: Refrigerate the trays of coated truffles for at least 15 minutes to let the candy coating fully set before serving. Serve at room temperature for best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • You can adjust the pink food coloring to achieve the desired shade of pink for your truffles.
  • If the mixture is too sticky to roll, add more crushed Oreo crumbs to reach the right firm consistency.
  • Store leftover truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a chocolate variation, substitute vanilla candy coating with chocolate candy melts.
