Description

These turmeric shots are a potent wellness tonic packed with fresh turmeric and ginger, known for their anti-inflammatory and immunity-boosting properties. Blended with fresh lemon juice, honey, and enhanced by black pepper to increase curcumin absorption, these quick and easy shots make a perfect natural health boost.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fresh turmeric root (peeled and chopped) or 2 tablespoons ground turmeric
  • ¼ cup fresh ginger root (peeled and chopped)
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • ½ cup water or coconut water

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, honey, black pepper, cayenne pepper (if using), and water or coconut water to a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend: Blend on high for 30–60 seconds until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Strain: Pour the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a jar or bottle, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible and discard solid pulp.
  4. Store: Refrigerate the strained liquid and shake well before each serving to ensure the ingredients are mixed.
  5. Serve: Pour 1–2 ounces into shot glasses and consume as a wellness shot.

Notes

  • Black pepper enhances the absorption of curcumin from turmeric.
  • For added flavor and benefits, use coconut water or add a splash of orange juice instead of plain water.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.
