Description

Delightfully sweet and creamy Sugar Cookie Truffles combine crushed sugar cookies with smooth cream cheese, coated in luscious white chocolate, making a perfect no-bake dessert that’s easy to prepare and ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 2 cups crushed sugar cookies (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating and Decoration

  • 8 ounces white chocolate or white candy melts
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Truffle Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed sugar cookies, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until a thick, dough-like consistency forms, ensuring all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Shape the Truffles: Scoop out the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls using your hands. Place the rolled balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them evenly to prevent sticking.
  3. Chill the Truffles: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for 30 minutes or until the truffles are firm enough to handle and dip.
  4. Melt the White Chocolate: While the truffles chill, melt the white chocolate or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second increments, stirring after each until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted.
  5. Dip the Truffles: Using a fork or a dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing back onto the parchment-lined sheet.
  6. Add Decorations: Immediately sprinkle the coated truffles with sprinkles if desired, adding a festive and colorful touch.
  7. Set the Chocolate: Let the chocolate coating set completely either at room temperature or by returning the truffles to the fridge until firm.
  8. Serve and Store: Serve the truffles chilled or at room temperature. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Use any type of sugar cookie including holiday-themed or frosted varieties for different flavors.
  • Experiment with flavored extracts such as almond or lemon in place of vanilla to add variety.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container refrigerated for up to 5 days for optimal freshness.
