- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
- Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, vinegar, ginger, and black pepper.
- Place chicken legs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- If you’d like a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Before serving, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.
Notes
- For crispier skin, broil chicken legs for 3–5 minutes after slow cooking.
- You can substitute drumsticks with thighs or wings as desired.
