Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra flavor
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the olive oil over the chicken breasts, then sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over them.
- Pour the chicken broth into the slow cooker around the chicken (not directly over it to avoid washing off the seasoning).
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing or shredding.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sliced onions or lemon slices to the slow cooker.
- Do not overcook to avoid dry chicken; check after 3 hours if using small breasts.
- Use the leftover broth for soups or to keep the chicken moist when storing.
