Description

This classic seafood boil recipe is a flavorful, crowd-pleasing feast loaded with shrimp, crab, sausage, potatoes, and corn, all tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce and perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, deveined and shell-on
  • 1 pound snow crab legs
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 4 ears corn, halved
  • 1.5 pounds baby potatoes
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • 4 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill a large stockpot with water, add Old Bay seasoning, salt, and lemon halves, and bring to a boil.
  2. Add potatoes and cook for 10 minutes until slightly tender.
  3. Add corn and sausage, cook for another 5–7 minutes.
  4. Add crab legs and shrimp, cook for 4–5 minutes or until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic, paprika, and cayenne; cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Drain the seafood and vegetables and transfer to a large serving tray or bowl.
  7. Drizzle garlic butter sauce over the seafood boil and toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra lemon wedges if desired. Serve immediately.
