Description

A refreshing and vibrant Passion Tea Lemonade that perfectly balances the tartness of lemonade with the fruity floral notes of hibiscus, lemongrass, and apple flavored passion tea. This easy-to-make iced beverage is ideal for cooling down on warm days and can be prepared in just 10 minutes with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

Tea Base

  • 4 cups (946 ml) water, preferably filtered or bottled for best flavor
  • 2 Tazo Iced Passion Tea Bags (hibiscus, lemongrass, apple blend)

Lemonade

  • 4 cups (946 ml) lemonade (choose based on sweetness preference)

Garnish

  • Lemon slices, fresh, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Bring 4 cups (946 ml) of water to a rolling boil using a stovetop or an electric kettle. Ensure the water reaches a full boil to fully extract the tea flavors.
  2. Steep Tea: Place 2 Tazo Iced Passion Tea Bags in a heatproof pitcher. Carefully pour the boiling water over the tea bags. Let steep for 5 to 10 minutes, tasting at around 8 minutes to check preferred strength.
  3. Remove Tea Bags: Remove the tea bags gently without squeezing to avoid bitterness and maintain a smooth flavor.
  4. Add Lemonade: Pour 4 cups (946 ml) of lemonade into the pitcher with the brewed tea. Stir thoroughly to combine, creating the characteristic tart-sweet balance.
  5. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the tea lemonade mixture over the ice. Garnish with fresh lemon slices if desired. Serve immediately for best flavor.

Notes

  • For stronger tea flavor, steep the tea bags longer but avoid steeping past 10 minutes to prevent bitterness.
  • Choose your lemonade based on sweetness preference or make your own fresh lemonade for a natural touch.
  • Use filtered or bottled water to enhance the tea’s delicate flavors.
  • Serve immediately after preparing to enjoy the freshest taste and chilling effect.
