Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, and matcha powder until a smooth mixture forms and there are no lumps.
- Add Sweeteners and Flavor: Stir in the maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture, blending well to combine all the flavors.
- Heat the Drink: Continue heating the mixture over medium heat until warm but not boiling, which should take about 3–5 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Serve: Pour the warm matcha cocoa into a mug. For an extra frothy finish, whisk vigorously by hand or blend briefly before serving to create a light foam on top.
