Description

A classic, flavorful meatloaf made easy with Lipton Onion Soup mix, breadcrumbs, eggs, and topped with a tangy ketchup glaze.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • For glaze: 3/4 cup ketchup, 1 1/2 tsp vinegar, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 1/2 tsp brown sugar, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F and line a baking pan.
  2. Combine meatloaf ingredients in a bowl; mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape into a loaf in pan.
  4. Bake 45 min.
  5. Meanwhile mix glaze ingredients.
  6. After 45 min, spread glaze over loaf.
  7. Bake an additional 15–20 min (internal temp 160 °F).
  8. Let rest 10 min before slicing.

Notes

  • Don’t overmix—helps keep it tender.
  • Resting before slicing retains juices.
  • Store leftovers 3–4 days refrigerated or freeze.
  • Great as leftovers in sandwiches.
  • Can substitute ground turkey or lamb, or add chopped onions/herbs for variation.
