Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

3 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 lemon, juiced and zested

2 tablespoons butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the asparagus and sauté for 4–5 minutes, or until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.

Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet, then add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.

Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.

Stir in butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Return the asparagus to the pan and toss everything together to coat.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
