- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Beverage
- ½ cup strong coffee or espresso
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar syrup (from above)
- ¼ cup oat milk
- Ice cubes

Instructions
- Prepare the Brown Sugar Syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, water, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract if using. Stir continuously until the sugar has fully dissolved and the mixture slightly thickens. Remove the syrup from heat and let it cool to room temperature. Store the syrup in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
- Assemble the Drink: Fill a mason jar or cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Pour in the espresso or strong brewed coffee, then add 3 tablespoons of the prepared brown sugar syrup. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 30 seconds until the mixture is frothy and well chilled.
- Serve & Enjoy: Fill a serving glass with fresh ice cubes. Pour the shaken espresso mixture over the ice, then top with ¼ cup of oat milk. Optionally, lightly dust the top with ground cinnamon. Stir gently and enjoy your refreshing iced brown sugar oatmilk shaken espresso immediately.
Notes
- The brown sugar syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, making it easy to prepare in advance for quick drinks.
- Adjust the amount of brown sugar syrup to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet beverage.
- Using strong brewed coffee as an alternative to espresso will still yield a delicious drink but may be less intense.
- Oat milk adds a creamy, dairy-free option, but you can substitute with any milk or milk alternative of your choice.
- Shaking the espresso with ice is essential to achieve a frothy and well-chilled texture.
- For an extra hint of spice, increase the cinnamon in the syrup slightly, or dust more on top before serving.
