Description

Grilled Paneer Salad is a protein-packed, vibrant dish featuring smoky grilled paneer cubes tossed with fresh vegetables and a zesty lemon-mint dressing. It’s a refreshing and wholesome vegetarian option for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 200g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika or Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper (any color), chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro or mint
  • For the dressing:
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, toss paneer cubes with olive oil, paprika, turmeric, and salt. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Grill paneer cubes on a grill pan or skewer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, turning to brown all sides. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, bell pepper, and herbs.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, cumin powder, chaat masala, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add grilled paneer to the salad and drizzle with the dressing.
  6. Toss gently and serve immediately, slightly warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use tofu instead of paneer for a vegan version.
  • Add greens like arugula or baby spinach for extra volume.
  • Paneer can be air-fried or pan-fried if grilling isn’t an option.
