Description

Greek Yogurt French Onion Dip is a healthier twist on the classic party favorite, made with caramelized onions and creamy Greek yogurt for a tangy, savory dip perfect with chips or veggies.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium yellow onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (whole or 2%)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and salt.
  2. Cook onions, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and caramelized, about 25–30 minutes. Reduce heat if they brown too quickly.
  3. Stir in black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let the onions cool completely.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt and the cooled caramelized onions. Mix until well combined.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Garnish with chopped chives before serving, if desired.
