For the burgers:
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 oz Gorgonzola cheese (crumbled)
For serving:

Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until just combined.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Serve on toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, onion, and desired condiments.
Divide the meat into 8 equal portions and flatten each into a thin patty. Place about 1 tablespoon of crumbled Gorgonzola in the center of 4 patties. Top each with another patty and press the edges firmly to seal, shaping into 4 stuffed burgers.
Cook the burgers for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F and the cheese is melted inside. Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- To prevent cheese from leaking, make sure the edges are tightly sealed.
- You can substitute blue cheese if preferred.
- These burgers pair well with a balsamic glaze or caramelized onions.
