Ingredients
Scale
Shrimp Mixture
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Garnish & Serving
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for roasting the shrimp evenly and quickly.
- Toss Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes if using, and season with salt and black pepper. Toss everything to coat the shrimp evenly with the flavorful mixture.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup and arrange the shrimp in a single layer to ensure even roasting without overcrowding.
- Roast Shrimp: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and roast the shrimp for 8 to 10 minutes. The shrimp are done when they turn pink, become opaque, and are cooked through.
- Garnish & Serve: Remove the shrimp from the oven, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top for color and freshness, and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side to squeeze over the shrimp for added brightness.
Notes
- Serve over pasta, rice, or a fresh salad to make it a complete meal.
- For extra crispiness, use the broil setting to broil shrimp for an additional 1 to 2 minutes at the end of roasting—watch carefully to avoid burning.
- Red pepper flakes are optional and can be omitted if you prefer a milder dish.
- Using tails on can add presentation appeal and make the shrimp easier to handle while eating.
