Scale
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional, for extra creaminess)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add orzo and cook, stirring frequently, for 2–3 minutes to lightly toast the pasta.

- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese and heavy cream (if using). Mix until creamy and well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.
- Add cooked peas, spinach, or mushrooms for extra nutrition and flavor.
