Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle about 1/2-inch thick.
  3. Cut the dough into strips about 1 inch wide and 5 inches long.
  4. Tie each strip into a knot and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  6. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture over the knots.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately brush with the remaining garlic butter.
  9. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if using and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use store-bought or homemade pizza dough for convenience.
  • You can add red pepper flakes to the butter for a spicy kick.
  • Best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
