Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak (or strip steak, tenderloin, or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
- ½ teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Sear Steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Pat steak bites dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. Add steak bites to the hot skillet and cook for 2 minutes without stirring, allowing them to sear and brown. Then stir and cook for another 2 minutes, or until golden brown. If necessary, work in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan.
- Make Garlic Butter: Transfer steak bites to a plate. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 30 seconds, or until fragrant, to develop the butter sauce.
- Combine and Serve: Pour the garlic butter sauce over the steak bites and toss to coat evenly. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately to enjoy the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Use a high-quality steak like sirloin, ribeye, tenderloin, or strip steak for best results.
- Pat the steak pieces dry before cooking to ensure a good sear.
- Avoid overcrowding the pan to achieve a nice browning on the steak bites.
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the heat level of the dish.
- Serve immediately for optimal tenderness and flavor.
