Description

Garlic Butter Shrimp is a quick and flavorful dish made with succulent shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect as an appetizer or main course over pasta or rice.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using); sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and lemon juice. Cook for another 30 seconds.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve over pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • Use fresh or frozen (thawed) shrimp for best results.
  • Adjust garlic and spice levels to your preference.
