- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using); sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side, or until shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and lemon juice. Cook for another 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve over pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
- Use fresh or frozen (thawed) shrimp for best results.
- Adjust garlic and spice levels to your preference.
