Scale
Dough
- 1 batch Greek yogurt dough (see notes for alternatives)
Toppings
- 1/4 cup butter (or olive oil)
- 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a large baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Prepare the Dough: Combine the Greek yogurt with flour to form a smooth dough. Shape the dough into a rough rectangular shape. Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking tray.
- Brush the Dough: Using a pastry brush, lightly coat the top of the dough with melted butter or olive oil, covering the entire surface.
- Prepare the Garlic Mixture: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter (or olive oil) with minced garlic. Brush this mixture generously over the top of the dough, ensuring to leave a half-inch border around the edges.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top of the dough, followed by Italian seasoning for added flavor.
- Bake the Breadsticks: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-17 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese has fully melted.
- Slice and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with more Italian seasoning if desired. Use a pizza cutter to slice the baked dough into breadsticks. Serve warm with your favorite sauce.
Notes
- You can substitute Greek yogurt dough with regular pizza dough or biscuit dough if preferred.
- Butter can be replaced with olive oil for a lighter alternative.
- Try different cheeses such as mozzarella, cheddar, or parmesan for varied flavor profiles.
- Store leftover breadsticks in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat before serving.
