Description

A festive twist on traditional cinnamon rolls, these Funfetti Cinnamon Rolls are soft, sweet, and loaded with colorful sprinkles, making them perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and pinch the seams together to form a solid sheet.
  3. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle this mixture over the buttered dough.
  5. Sprinkle rainbow sprinkles generously over the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, then slice it into 8 equal rolls.
  7. Place the rolls into the prepared baking dish and bake for 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  8. While the rolls bake, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Once the cinnamon rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes before drizzling the glaze over the top.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy the festive, sweet flavors!

Notes

  • You can add extra sprinkles to the glaze for more color or use themed sprinkles for special occasions.
  • For a softer texture, make sure not to overbake the rolls.
  • If you don’t have crescent roll dough, you can substitute with biscuit dough for a different texture.
