- 1 package (9-12 ounces) refrigerated ravioli (cheese or meat-filled)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Place ravioli in a bowl and pour buttermilk over them. Let soak for 5–10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and garlic powder.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Remove ravioli from buttermilk, letting excess drip off, then coat in breadcrumb mixture.
- Fry ravioli in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Use frozen ravioli if needed—just thaw before breading.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes for a lighter version.
- Try different fillings like spinach-ricotta or mushroom for variety.
