- Mash the avocados: Using a fork, mash the avocado flesh until you reach your desired consistency, whether chunky or smooth.
- Add fresh ingredients: Add the diced red onion, seeded and diced tomato, minced jalapeños, fresh lime juice, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocado.
- Combine thoroughly: Stir all ingredients well until fully incorporated, ensuring balanced flavor throughout the guacamole.
- Taste and adjust: Taste the guacamole and adjust seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lime juice if needed.
- Serve or store: Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover tightly with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the guacamole’s surface to prevent browning, then refrigerate until ready to serve.

- For extra flavor, add a pinch of cumin or a dash of hot sauce.
- To keep guacamole from browning, press plastic wrap directly against the surface to limit air exposure.
- Use ripe but firm avocados for the best texture.
