Description

These Easy Sticky Buns combine flaky crescent roll dough with a sweet, buttery pecan topping and a cinnamon sugar swirl inside. Perfect for a quick breakfast or a delicious dessert, they come together effortlessly and bake to golden, sticky perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

Topping

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • â…“ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Dough and Filling

  • 1 package (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners to prevent sticking.
  2. Make Topping Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and light corn syrup. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  3. Add Topping to Muffin Cups: Divide the butter and sugar mixture evenly among the muffin cups. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of each portion of the sugar mixture.
  4. Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams together to form one large, continuous rectangle.
  5. Mix Cinnamon Sugar: In another bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle this cinnamon sugar evenly across the surface of the dough.
  6. Roll and Slice Dough: Starting from the long side, roll the dough up tightly into a log. Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into 8 equal pieces.
  7. Assemble Buns: Place each cinnamon sugar roll cut side up into the prepared muffin cups on top of the pecan mixture inside the cups.
  8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Cool and Invert: Allow the buns to cool for 3 to 5 minutes. Carefully invert the muffin pan onto a tray or parchment paper to release the sticky buns and reveal the gooey pecan topping.
  10. Serve: Serve the sticky buns warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute chopped walnuts for pecans if desired.
  • For extra sweetness and texture, sprinkle raisins over the dough before rolling it up.
  • These sticky buns are best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
