Description

A quick and easy ground chicken recipe tossed in a tangy, sweet orange sauce, perfect for busy weeknights and ready in just 25 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.
  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to combine. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  8. Serve over rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.

Notes

  • Fresh orange juice gives the best flavor, but bottled can work in a pinch.
  • Use ground turkey or tofu as a substitute for ground chicken.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
