- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and ginger and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes.
- Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- In a small bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir to combine. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve over rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.
Notes
- Fresh orange juice gives the best flavor, but bottled can work in a pinch.
- Use ground turkey or tofu as a substitute for ground chicken.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
