Description

Easy Beef Teriyaki is a quick and delicious stir-fry dish featuring tender beef slices coated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, perfect for serving over rice or noodles.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp mirin or rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Cooked white rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, mirin, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and just cooked through.
  4. Pour in the teriyaki sauce mixture and stir to coat the beef. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce, cooking another 1–2 minutes until glossy and thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for the most tender results.
  • You can add vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, or snap peas to make it a full meal.
