Easy Beef Teriyaki is a quick and delicious stir-fry dish featuring tender beef slices coated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce, perfect for serving over rice or noodles.

- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp mirin or rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, mirin, garlic, and ginger. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and just cooked through.
- Pour in the teriyaki sauce mixture and stir to coat the beef. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce, cooking another 1–2 minutes until glossy and thickened.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for the most tender results.
- You can add vegetables like broccoli, bell peppers, or snap peas to make it a full meal.
