Ingredients
For the Knots:
-
1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
-
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour (for dusting)
For the Garlic Butter:
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)
-
1/4 teaspoon salt
-
Optional: 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle (about 8×12 inches).
-
Cut the dough into 12 strips. Tie each strip into a knot and place on the baking sheet.
-
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
-
While the knots are baking, make the garlic butter: In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic, salt, and parsley. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
-
When the knots are done, brush immediately with the warm garlic butter.
-
Sprinkle with Parmesan if using, and serve warm.
Notes
These can be made ahead! Shape and refrigerate the knots, then bake when ready.
Don’t skip brushing them fresh out of the oven—it soaks in for extra flavor!
Try adding red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
