Description

This Easy and Delicious Chicken Spaghetti recipe is a comforting and flavorful dish, made with tender chicken, creamy sauce, and perfectly cooked spaghetti. It’s a quick and satisfying dinner that the whole family will love!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb cooked chicken breast, shredded (or rotisserie chicken)
  • 12 oz spaghetti (or your choice of pasta)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (for sautéing)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Cook and stir until the sauce is smooth and heated through. Season with basil, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the shredded chicken to the sauce and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  6. Mix the cooked spaghetti into the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy chicken mixture.
  7. Transfer the chicken spaghetti to the prepared baking dish. Top with a little extra mozzarella cheese if desired.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the dish is heated through.
  9. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy this easy and delicious chicken spaghetti!

Notes

  • You can add vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • For a lighter version, use low-fat cream of chicken soup and sour cream, or substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream.
  • If you prefer a spicier dish, add a little more red pepper flakes or some chopped jalapeños to the sauce.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
