Description

These Brown Sugar Pork Chops are pan-seared to perfection and coated in a sweet, garlicky brown sugar glaze with just the right touch of spice. Ready in 30 minutes from start to finish, this recipe is ideal for a fast, flavorful weeknight dinner the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional, for tang)

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork: Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  2. Sear the pork chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and just cooked through (internal temp should reach 145°F). Remove and set aside.

  3. Make the glaze: In the same skillet, lower heat to medium. Add butter, brown sugar, garlic, Dijon mustard (if using), and red pepper flakes. Stir until melted and bubbly, about 1–2 minutes.

  4. Glaze the pork chops: Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon the glaze over them. Cook for another 2–3 minutes, flipping once, until chops are coated and glossy.

  5. Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Great with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or rice.

  • For thicker chops, cover the skillet and simmer on low for a few extra minutes.

  • Bone-in chops work too — just adjust cook time slightly.
