Description

Crispy Fried Zucchini is a delicious appetizer or side dish made by coating zucchini slices in a seasoned breadcrumb mixture and frying them until golden brown. Crunchy on the outside and tender inside, they’re perfect for dipping or snacking.


Ingredients

  • 2 medium zucchini, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk or water
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (regular or panko)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs and milk, and one with breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper mixed together.
  2. Dip each zucchini slice first in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  3. Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot (350°F/175°C).
  4. Fry zucchini in batches, 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crisp.
  5. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with marinara sauce, ranch, or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, use panko breadcrumbs.
  • Try baking or air frying for a lighter version.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but can be reheated in the oven to crisp up.
