Description

This Creamy Garlic Parmesan Tortellini with Chicken & Broccoli is a hearty and satisfying one-pan meal. Tender cheese tortellini, juicy chicken, and bright green broccoli are tossed in a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce. It’s quick, comforting, and packed with flavor — perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy dinner in.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 package (20 oz) refrigerated cheese tortellini

  • Optional: extra Parmesan and red pepper flakes for topping

Instructions

  • Cook the chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sauté for 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  • Sauté garlic and broccoli: In the same pan, add garlic and Italian seasoning. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and cook for 2–3 minutes (a bit longer if using fresh broccoli), stirring often.

  • Add liquids and pasta: Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in tortellini. Cook for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tortellini is tender and sauce has thickened slightly.

  • Add chicken and cheese: Return the chicken to the skillet and stir in Parmesan cheese. Mix well and cook another 1–2 minutes until everything is hot and creamy.

  • Serve hot, topped with more Parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time.

  • You can substitute spinach or peas for broccoli if preferred.

  • Want it lighter? Use half-and-half or a mix of milk and cream.
