Description

This Creamy Noodles recipe features tender spaghetti coated in a rich, flavorful sauce made from cream cheese, sour cream, and parmesan, enhanced with garlic and Cajun seasoning for a delightful twist. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s a comforting and easy meal perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz thin spaghetti

Sauce

  • 6 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 1½ tsp minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp sour cream
  • 5 Tbsp milk
  • 2 to 3 tsp salt-free Cajun seasoning
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1½ tsp dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta thoroughly to remove excess water.
  2. Prepare Sauce: While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic in butter for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Make Cream Sauce: Add cream cheese, sour cream, milk, Cajun seasoning, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Reduce the heat to low and stir continuously until the sauce is smooth and well combined. Avoid boiling to prevent curdling.
  4. Finish Sauce: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated parmesan cheese thoroughly to enrich the sauce.
  5. Toss Pasta and Serve: Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss gently to coat every strand evenly. Sprinkle the dried parsley on top as garnish and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Use salt-free Cajun seasoning to control sodium content.
  • Do not boil the sauce once cream cheese is added to prevent curdling.
  • For a lighter option, substitute half-and-half or whole milk for sour cream.
  • Fresh parsley can be used instead of dried for a brighter flavor.
  • Adjust seasoning according to taste preferences.
