Ingredients
Scale
Phyllo Cups
- 1 package (15 count) mini phyllo shells
Filling
- 4 ounces Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
- â…“ cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- Honey for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and arrange the mini phyllo shells evenly on a baking sheet to prepare them for baking.
- Assemble the cups: Place one cube of Brie cheese into each phyllo shell, ensuring each has a generous piece. Then, spoon about one teaspoon of whole berry cranberry sauce on top of the Brie. If using, sprinkle the chopped pecans or walnuts along with finely chopped fresh rosemary over each cup for added texture and flavor.
- Bake the cups: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the assembled phyllo cups for 10 to 12 minutes. Bake until the Brie cheese is melted and bubbly, and the phyllo shells are crisp and lightly golden.
- Finish and serve: Remove the phyllo cups from the oven and let them cool slightly to allow them to firm up a bit. For an optional touch of sweetness, drizzle a small amount of honey on top before serving. These appetizers can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a delicious variation, substitute cranberry sauce with fig jam or raspberry preserves.
- You can assemble the phyllo cups several hours ahead of time and bake them just before serving for convenience.
- Use either pecans or walnuts based on your preference or omit nuts for a nut-free option.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container and reheat gently before serving to regain the melty texture.
