Church Supper Spaghetti is a comforting, crowd-pleasing baked pasta dish made with hearty meat sauce, spaghetti noodles, and melted cheese. It’s a potluck favorite that’s easy to make and serve.

- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion, cooking until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, toss cooked spaghetti with half of the sauce mixture.
- Spread half of the spaghetti mixture into the baking dish. Top with 1 cup mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan.
- Layer remaining spaghetti and sauce, then top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
- Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated until ready to bake.
- Substitute ground turkey or Italian sausage for a twist on flavor.
- Serve with garlic bread and a green salad for a complete meal.
