Ingredients
Scale
Protein
- 1 cooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded
Produce
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
Dairy
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Other
- 2 flour tortillas
- 2-3 tablespoons ranch dressing (or your favorite dressing)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Slice or shred the cooked chicken breast. Slice the ripe avocado and remove the pit. Dice the tomatoes and shred the lettuce if it is not already shredded.
- Warm Tortillas: Place the flour tortillas on a microwave-safe plate and warm them in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to make them more pliable for wrapping.
- Assemble Wraps: Lay the warmed tortillas flat on a clean surface. Add a layer of shredded lettuce to each tortilla, leaving some space at the edges. Then place the sliced or shredded chicken evenly on top of the lettuce. Add the avocado slices next, followed by a sprinkle of diced tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Season and Dress: Season the fillings with salt and pepper to your preference. Drizzle 2 to 3 tablespoons of ranch dressing, or your preferred dressing, over the inside fillings to add moisture and flavor.
- Wrap Up: Fold the sides of each tortilla over the filling, then roll tightly from the bottom to form a secure wrap that holds all ingredients together.
- Serve: Serve the wraps seam-side down to prevent them from unrolling. Slice each wrap diagonally in half if desired for easier handling and presentation. Enjoy immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute ranch dressing with a vinaigrette or any creamy dressing you prefer.
- Use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas for a healthier or gluten-sensitive option.
- The wraps are best enjoyed fresh but can be wrapped tightly in foil and refrigerated for up to one day.
- To add extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of fresh cilantro or a squeeze of lime juice inside the wrap.
