Description

Cheesy Sausage Balls are a classic, bite-sized appetizer made with savory sausage, sharp cheddar cheese, and baking mix. They’re perfect for parties, brunch, or as a quick and satisfying snack.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix sausage, cheddar cheese, Bisquick mix, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, if desired.

Notes

  • Use spicy sausage for an extra kick of flavor.
  • Sausage balls can be made ahead and frozen before baking—just add a few extra minutes to the bake time if baking from frozen.
  • Grate your own cheese for better melting and texture.
