Description

These Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps are a flavorful and satisfying meal perfect for lunch or dinner. Juicy cooked chicken breast is sautéed with garlic and Italian seasoning, then combined with melted mozzarella and cheddar cheeses inside warm flour tortillas. Fresh baby spinach and diced tomato add a refreshing crunch. The wraps are lightly toasted on the stovetop until golden and melty, making each bite irresistibly delicious and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Cheese Mixture

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Wrap Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 cup baby spinach or shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced

Instructions

  1. Sauté Garlic: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Heat Chicken: Add the cooked chicken, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Stir until the chicken is heated through and well coated with the garlic oil. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  4. Assemble Wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas and optionally spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on each. Divide the cooked chicken evenly among the tortillas, then top with the cheese mixture, baby spinach or lettuce, and diced tomato.
  5. Roll Wraps: Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly into wraps to secure the filling.
  6. Toast Wraps: Heat a clean skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Place the wraps seam-side down in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  7. Serve: Remove from the pan and serve warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute the cooked chicken with rotisserie or leftover grilled chicken for convenience.
  • For extra flavor, drizzle some ranch dressing or garlic aioli inside before rolling the wraps.
  • These wraps reheat well in a panini press or air fryer for quick leftovers.
