Description

This Cheesy Chicken Garlic Bread Sandwich is a flavor-packed twist on a classic. Toasty garlic bread is stuffed with tender chicken, gooey melted cheese, and buttery herbs. It’s crispy on the outside, melty in the middle, and completely satisfying. Serve it with a side salad or fries and you’re set.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded or sliced chicken (grilled, rotisserie, or leftover)

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (fresh or dried)

  • 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 large baguette or 1 loaf Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise

  • Optional: red pepper flakes, extra cheese for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.

  • Make the garlic butter: In a bowl, mix softened butter, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, and salt until well combined.

  • Prepare the bread: Spread garlic butter generously over the cut sides of the bread. Place on the baking sheet, cut side up.

  • Layer the filling: Spread shredded chicken evenly over the bottom half of the bread. Sprinkle with mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan.

  • Top and bake: Place the top half of the bread on top (or leave open-faced if you prefer) and bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy and golden.

  • Optional broil: For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes. Watch closely!

  • Slice and serve: Let it cool slightly, then slice into sandwiches and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add sautéed onions, peppers, or spinach for extra flavor and texture.

  • Make it spicy with sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce.

  • Want a saucier version? Spread a little marinara, buffalo sauce, or ranch inside before baking.
