Description

Cheesecake Brownies are a rich and indulgent dessert combining fudgy chocolate brownie layers with a creamy cheesecake swirl for the ultimate sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until combined.
  3. Spread about 3/4 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1/2 tsp vanilla and mix until creamy.
  5. Spread the cheesecake layer over the brownie base.
  6. Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the top and swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Let cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a deeper chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • Chill the brownies before cutting for cleaner slices.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
