Description

A rich and flavorful sauce made with butter, garlic, and Cajun spices, perfect for seafood, pasta, or grilled meats.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using.
  4. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to let the spices bloom in the butter.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and cook for 30 seconds more.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
  7. Serve warm over seafood, pasta, or grilled meats.

Notes

  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week and reheated before use.
  • Use clarified butter for a smoother texture and higher smoke point.
  • Great as a dipping sauce for crab, shrimp, or bread.
