Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small head green cabbage, chopped (about 6 cups)
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes (with juices)
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste (optional, for richer flavor)
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
- Sauté Onion: In a large skillet or sauté pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Brown Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Cook Cabbage: Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cabbage begins to soften.
- Add Tomatoes and Seasonings: Stir in the diced tomatoes (with juices), tomato paste if using, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.
- Simmer: Cover the skillet and let the mixture simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and the flavors are well blended.
- Adjust and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Serve hot on its own or over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.
