Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon (if using). Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  7. Flatten each ball gently with the back of a spoon or your fingers.
