Description

The Best Waldorf Salad is a classic, refreshing mix of crisp apples, celery, grapes, and walnuts tossed in a creamy dressing. It’s sweet, crunchy, and perfect as a side dish or light lunch.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 apples (such as Fuji or Granny Smith), chopped
  • 1 cup seedless red or green grapes, halved
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp honey (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, honey (if using), salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine apples, grapes, celery, and walnuts.
  3. Pour the dressing over the fruit and vegetables and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Garnish with parsley if desired, and serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes for best flavor.

Notes

  • To prevent apples from browning, toss them with a little lemon juice before adding.
  • Use yogurt only for a lighter version, or mayo only for a richer one.
  • Add chopped cooked chicken to turn it into a protein-packed meal.
