Description

Best Ever Banana Bread is a moist, tender, and flavorful quick bread loaded with ripe bananas. Perfect for breakfast, snacking, or dessert, it’s easy to make and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork. Stir in melted butter.
  3. Mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).
  5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips, if using.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
  • Store leftovers wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Add a sprinkle of raw sugar on top before baking for a sweet, crunchy crust.
