Description

This Beef and Rotini in Garlic Parmesan Sauce is a hearty, creamy pasta dish that’s perfect for a cozy night in. Tender ground beef is cooked with garlic and tossed with rotini pasta in a rich Parmesan cream sauce. It’s simple, satisfying, and sure to be a family favorite—ready in about 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz rotini pasta

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if needed)

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/2 cups milk

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook rotini pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat if needed.

  • Add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 more minute. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes to form a roux.

  • Slowly whisk in milk and cream. Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet, then add the cooked rotini. Toss everything together until well coated.

  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Use half-and-half instead of cream for a lighter option.

Great with ground turkey or Italian sausage instead of beef.

Add sautéed spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.

Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
