Ingredients
For the Stir Fry:
-
2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning)
-
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
-
2 cups broccoli florets
-
2 tbsp vegetable oil
-
2 green onions, sliced (optional)
-
Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
For the Sauce:
-
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
-
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
-
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional but recommended)
-
1 tbsp brown sugar
-
2 tsp sesame oil
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (or 1/2 tsp ground ginger)
-
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
-
Cook ramen noodles according to package instructions (without the seasoning packet). Drain and set aside.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients.
-
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, 3–4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
-
Add the remaining oil to the skillet, then add the broccoli. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until bright green and just tender.
-
Return the beef to the skillet. Pour in the sauce and stir everything together.
-
Add the cooked ramen noodles and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
-
Cook for 1–2 more minutes, just until everything is heated through.
-
Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired, then serve hot.
Notes
-
Swap beef for chicken or tofu if preferred.
-
Add in other veggies like bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots.
-
For extra sauce, double the sauce ingredients.
