Description

These Bacon-Cheddar-Ranch Pinwheels are a quick and delicious appetizer featuring a creamy blend of cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, and ranch seasoning rolled into soft flour tortillas. Perfect for parties, snacks, or easy gatherings, these flavorful pinwheels offer a delightful combination of savory and tangy notes in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (6 oz)
  • 6 slices chopped cooked bacon
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dressing & seasoning mix
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Assembly

  • 5 tortillas from 1 package (11 oz) Old El Pasoâ„¢ Flour Tortillas for Burritos (8 Count)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped cooked bacon, ranch dressing & seasoning mix, chopped fresh chives, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt using an electric mixer on medium speed until the ingredients are well combined and smooth.
  2. Spread the mixture: Divide the cheese and bacon mixture evenly among the 5 tortillas. Spread it out evenly over each tortilla to ensure a uniform layer of filling.
  3. Roll the tortillas: Tightly roll up each tortilla into a log shape to hold the filling securely inside.
  4. Slice and serve: Using a sharp knife, cut each rolled tortilla into 1/2-inch thick pinwheels. Arrange pinwheels on a serving platter and serve immediately for best freshness and texture.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easy mixing.
  • Use freshly cooked bacon for a crisp texture, or substitute with pre-cooked bacon bits.
  • Pinwheels can be prepared a few hours in advance and chilled before slicing.
  • Feel free to add other fresh herbs like parsley or dill for extra flavor.
  • These pinwheels are best served chilled or at room temperature, not heated.
