Description

Juicy, flavorful turkey burgers cooked quickly in an air fryer—ready in just 20 minutes for an easy, healthy meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (preferably 93% lean)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (for brushing patties)
  • 4 burger buns or lettuce wraps
  • Optional toppings: sliced tomato, lettuce, red onion, cheese, pickles, mustard, ketchup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375 °F (190 °C) for 3 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground turkey, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined—don’t overwork.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about ¾‑inch thick.
  4. Lightly brush both sides of each patty with olive oil to help browning.
  5. Place patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Cook at 375 °F for 10 minutes.
  6. After 10 minutes, flip the patties and cook an additional 7–8 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 °F (74 °C).
  7. If using cheese, add a slice to each patty in the last minute of cooking.
  8. Remove patties and let rest for 2 minutes. Toast buns in the air fryer at 375 °F for 1–2 minutes if desired.
  9. Assemble burgers with desired toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure ground turkey is not overly packed when shaping patties to ensure juiciness.
  • Feel free to swap spices or add chopped herbs like parsley or cilantro.
  • For crispier edges, brush a bit more oil on patties before cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer to guarantee safe internal temperature.
  • Leftover patties can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for 3 months.
